Shrewdly cementing his place as the driver/lead guitar for the Fiddlesticks before any of the girls had licenses, Brian Powers is still the "glue" of the group. The band sprang from his 2001 Jr. High class at the Living Wisdom School in Nevada City California, where he taught English and History. Brian has always loved music, and played guitar since he was young. He claims to have written almost all of the songs made famous by such noted performers as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Towns van Zant, The Band and Mose Allison. He has also been known to channel Liberace and Satchmo, though, mercifully, never simultaneously. Brian still loves teaching school and playing music. |
Living Wisdom High School Girl's Autoshop We purchased a completely dissembled 1958 Austin-Healey Sprite for a restoration project. The class will rebuild the engine, transmission and rear-end, and then paint (bright red) and upholster the car. We hope to finish the project by the end of summer
